Hannah McGeehan Receives Elaine Figgins Prize for Best Performance in Orthotics
Hannah McGeehan – graduated from Strathclyde University in June 2025 and has received the Elaine Figgins Prize for Best Performance in Orthotics.
Statement from Hannah:
“I am incredibly thankful for this award and would like to express my appreciation to the Trustees of the OETT for my prize and their continued support of the National Centre for Prosthetics and Orthotics at the University of Strathclyde. Receiving this award is a milestone in my career, which I could not have reached without my teachers at university and during placement who have mentored and guided me exceptionally through my journey in orthotics so far. As I begin my first job as an Orthotist, I’m in the process of applying for the Distance Learning P&O MSc course at Strathclyde, this would not be possible without the OETT’s support for postgraduate education within Orthotics, I am so grateful for the opportunity that the Trust provides. Thank you!”
